Right on Saturday, January 15, 2022, Plt. Mayor of Bandung, Yana Mulyana opened the Thrill of Life Super Playground event which was held at Bandung Progressive Field. Yana enthusiastically welcomed this activity.

"I really appreciate today's activities. Even though we are currently still in the Covid-19 pandemic situation, this activity shows the people of Bandung never stop to continue to innovate and be creative," said Yana.

Not only for the community of small wheel sports lovers, Yana hopes that there will be positive activities from other hobby activists.

"Various communities and hobbies are here to do positive activities. Hopefully, they can become a forum for all communities in the city of Bandung. Hopefully we can continue activities like this to channel other hobbies after the pandemic," said Yana.

Of course, Yana hopes that the participants involved must continue to promote the adaptation of new habits in accordance with health protocols.

There, health protocols are already quite strict. Seen before entering the Super Playground area, officers checked the body temperature of the participants, urged them to wear masks, and use hand sanitizers.

"Although the Covid-19 pandemic in Bandung City is relatively under control, we still have to maintain health protocols. Our vaccination data is also almost 100 percent. If it is at 100 percent, the Covid-19 pandemic in Bandung City can end. And will only become endemic, " he said.

"Hopefully, through active activities like this, it can be an economic recovery," Yana added

The Chairperson of the Thrill of Life Super Playground Organizer, Rino Mardani explained, this event aims to be a gathering place for the small wheel sports community.

"It's been two years since the pandemic, we haven't kept in touch. In addition to gathering together, we also have competitions in each hobby category," explained Rino.

It's been so long since we've seen each other, Rino added, the enthusiasm of the participants was very high at this meeting. Initially only to gather the West Java community, but eventually from other provinces also participated.

"Initially, we facilitated community gatherings in West Java first. But apparently West Java friends invited friends from other areas. Some were from Jakarta too, some even came directly from Bali to join this event," he added.

The Thrill of Life Super Playground event was held for two consecutive days. From Saturday, January 15-Sunday, January 16, 2022. Not only to stay in touch, participants in this event can also take part in the available competitions.

Rino explained, the number of participants who attended reached around 500 people. In one competition session, there are around 20-30 participants.

"There are so many communities present. One community can invite 100 people. There is also a competition. Later, the community will also judge, "said Rino.

At the event, Plt. The Mayor of Bandung had tried one of the competition routes here, namely Tamiya. However, on the third lap, the car overturned and went off the track.

The Classic Jurnior team, Rakha Fajri, one of the old school Tamiya communities in Bandung, explained that the competition this time was the newest route issued by them.

"This is a new route. Usually the competition only uses three lanes. However, we made five lanes with off-road terrain to make it more challenging," said Rakha.

For Bandung residents who want to try the Tamiya competition, Rakha added, for two days the competition will start at 13.00-18.00 WIB.

"So far, 30 participants have registered online. However, we also open on the spot registration," he added.

On the other hand, there is also a skate community booth. Seen some participants are trying the track to play roller skates. They glide skillfully, swooping to avoid obstacles in the path. One of the participants in the competition is Risma Risdianti.

He is not part of any community at this event. Risma came alone with her husband.

"Know this event from Instagram. Then, just come here with your husband. But, if your husband takes part in other competitions, he likes BMX," said this woman from Bandung.

For the roller skating competition itself, Risma said, it will start at 12.00 WIB. So far, 20 participants have registered.

"It's fun. I want to try new things. Meet again with friends who love rollerblading from various regions. Usually I just meet friends at Kiara Artha Park," said Risma. (din)**
