Yana’s Request for Softball Athletes of Bandung City: You Can Do It, Go for the General Champion!

The Acting Mayor of Bandung City, Yana Mulyana, encouraged softball athletes of Bandung City when surveying the Softball Field in Lodaya. He aimed Bandung City at winning in Pekan Olahraga Provinsi or Provincial Sports Week (Porprov) 2022.

This survey was also related with Bandung City’s roles which would probably be the host for Porprov 2022 for softball.

“For athletes, keep practicing and go for the general champion,” Yana said, Friday 8 April 2022.

Yana said that the Bandung City Government would prepare the field as to the preparations for the softball host.

“It does require to be repaired. For that reason, we will think about it,” he said.

From the Public Relations of Bandung’s view, the athletes were seen preparing to practice at around 16.00 WIB. Ramadan fasting and the field’s muddy condition after drenched in rain did not waver their will to practice.

On this occasion, the Head of Youth and Sports Agency (Dispora) of Bandung City, Edy Marwoto, said that the softball team of Bandung City still kept practicing.

He firmly believed they could achieve the target from the Acting Mayor of Bandung City: achieving the General Champion. Edy said that the athletes of Bandung City were ready to compete and get achievements.

“I request the athletes to use your time well. Although you are fasting, you can do it, keep practicing. As we already heard, the Mayor’s target is to become the champion. We can do this!” he said. (ray)**
