One of the areas that participated in enlivening Indonesia's independence were residents of the RW 01 Maleer Village, Batununggal District, Bandung City.

The residents of the area were very enthusiastic in celebrating the 77th Republic of Indonesia's Independence Day. The youth also worked together to arrange a number of events that have become traditions.

The celebration will take place from August 14 to September 10, 2022. There are 19 kinds of competitions that can be followed by all groups from children, teenagers to adults.

Of all the competitions, there is one competition that is unique, namely the competition to wear pants without hands, the competition is unique because the participants are women.

Not only competitions, the committee also held a MSME bazaar. The bazaar aims to help local residents who do have businesses to be better known by local residents.

The head of the RW 01 Youth Organization, Hilmansyah, said that because last year there were still restrictions on activities from the government, the region did not hold any celebrations for the Indonesian Independence Day.

"But thankfully this year we can do it again because the government has allowed the event to be held on condition that we continue to implement the health protocols," he said.

The Chief Executive of the 77th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia RW 01, Maleer village, Rilandy, said that this commemoration event, raised the theme "Independence Day as an Event to Welcome Maleer Smart Society 5.0 (Knowledge, Skill, Attitude, and Value)".

In this bazaar, there were 10 residents who participated, one of them was Agi.

"Because of the bazaar at this event, my sales turnover increased compared to the usual day, and I feel helped," said Agi.

Mrs. Ema, one of the residents of RT 03 said, "The commemoration of the 77th Indonesian Independence Day is a positive event, this event can be a moment of togetherness for the residents of RW 01 after the pandemic".

"Not only commemorating the Republic of Indonesia's Independence Day, this event can also be a learning opportunity for the youth of RW 01 to learn how to organize and organize an event," he said.

The commemoration of the 77th RI Anniversary will continue until its peak later on September 10, 2022. At the peak of the event, the committee said it would hold seminars and entertainment events.

This seminar will be filled by local residents who can indeed inspire, and also provide useful topics for residents in the neighborhood.

The secretary of RW 01, Sutaryat hopes that the next independence celebration event can continue to be carried out, so that the culture of commemorating the Indonesian Independence Day continues.

"Hopefully in the future it can give birth to new innovations and can develop even more," he hoped. (salma/siti)**
