The Mayor of Bandung, Yana Mulyana, appealed to residents to maintain their immune system during the Covid-19 pandemic. In addition to consuming food plus vitamins, Yana invites residents to exercise regularly to maintain body fitness.

One of the sports that Yana recommends is cycling.

"By cycling, we can increase immunity," he said on the sidelines of the Merdeka Bromlin Gowes event, at Sultan Hub, Jalan Tirtayasa, Sunday, August 21, 2022.

At the event, Yana and dozens of members of the Brompton folding bike lover walked along a number of streets in the city of Bandung. Starting from Jalan Sultan Tirtayasa, Jalan Ir H. Juanda, Jalan Merdeka and ending at Bandung City Hall.

Yana is also grateful that several activities can be carried out according to the established rules. One of them is establishing a health protocol.

With the implementation of disciplined health protocols, the Covid-19 case in the city of Bandung is relatively under control. Moreover, Yana continued, the Covid-19 vaccination in Bandung City has exceeded the target.

"The Covid-19 pandemic situation in Bandung is relatively under control, thanks to vaccination. The first dose has reached 114 percent. The second dose is 104 percent, the booster is 46 percent, and the second booster is 11 percent," he said.

In the same place, the President of Bromlin, Djoko Tio, explained that the activity held by his community was to commemorate the 77th Indonesian Independence Day. In addition, it is also a routine activity to maintain immunity.

"With this spirit we can ride again," he said.
