Until now, it is recorded that 98.04 percent of the population of Bandung City is registered in Universal Health Care (UHC).

UHC is a system of health care and services to ensure that all residents in a certain country or region have access to health services.

Head of Health Resources of the Bandung City Health Office, dr. Sri Erna Sitepu MH.Kes said that UHC has the ultimate goal of improving the health status of Bandung residents.

"In the city of Bandung, UHC has another name, Jagjag Waringkas, where we also continue to encourage Bandung residents to have health insurance," he said during a chat with Indonesian children for Bandung (Ngariung) at Bandung City Hall, Wednesday, September 14, 2022.

Meanwhile, the Sub-coordinator of Health Insurance, Financing and Regulation (JPRK) of the Bandung City Health Office, Rachmawati SH, MM. said, currently there are 33 hospitals affiliated with JKN or BPJS, so that people can easily access their health insurance.

"We are also intensively conducting socialization either through electronic media, online media or directly related to UHC, and the public response is positive, it is proven that there are 3000 to 4000 residents of Bandung City who register every month," he said.

Rachmawati also invites people to register for health insurance.

"It is very important for Bandung residents to have health insurance as a preventive measure if they are sick. There are health services and guarantee financing, so we become calmer," he said.

"For those who haven't registered, let's register, the requirements are easy for Bandung City ID and Family Card, if you have registered, your health will be more guaranteed and we will together create a Bandung that is jagjag waringkas," he said. (tiwi)**
