Security Operations, Siskamling, and Bandung 112, Bandung City Government's Efforts to Eradicate Crime
Mayor of Bandung, Yana Mulyana appealed to residents to jointly maintain security and public order in the city of Bandung.
He instructed Satpol PP and Transportation Agency to routinely conduct patrols. As for the territorial apparatus, Yana asked for the Mobile Security System (Siskamling) to be reactivated
“Keep safe. For regional parties, reactivate the Mobile Security System (Siskamling). In the government realm, we ask the Transportation Agency, Satpol PP to routinely carry out operations," said Yana.
In addition, the Bandung City Government (Pemkot) has also prepared an emergency service, namely Bandung Siaga 112. This service makes it easier for the public to remember emergency numbers.
For information, the working mechanism of Bandung Siaga 112 is relatively easy; just take your cellphone, then press 112, and you will be connected to the Bandung Command Center which will be integrated with the relevant agencies.
For emergency cases, this service has a response time that does not exceed 5 minutes.
It should also be noted, from January to early December 2022, Call Center 112 has received 166,591 calls with 615 calls for emergency events.
With details of accidents (158 calls), other emergencies (250 calls), fire (73 calls), security and public order (7 calls), health (77 calls).
The rest are criminality (9 summons), riots (3 summons), violence against children/women/domestic violence (1 summons) and natural disasters (37 summons). (ray)**
