This number is for as many as 47 thousand PJU and PJL points in the city of Bandung. While the total PJU and PJL in the city of Bandung there are around 67 thousand points.

"In 2023, the budget allocation for PJU and PJL is around IDR 63 billion. Out of a total requirement of 67 thousand, we have only realized 47 thousand. There are around 21 thousand that have not yet," said the Regional Secretary of Bandung City, Ema Sumarna on the sidelines of monitoring PJU and PJL at some point, Tuesday 17 January 2023 evening.

Ema hopes that this 2023 budget allocation can be realized as soon as possible. So that the mapping of light points can be done as soon as possible.

"As soon as possible. If it is auctioned, we collect it so that there is acceleration so that the process can be realized. Because the auction takes time. So that the realization activities do not pile up at the end of the fourth quarter," he explained.

"This year the Transportation Agency (Bandung City Transportation Agency) has mapped out 698 PJUs and around 3,000 PJLs," he said.

During this monitoring, Ema visited a number of roads. Among them, Jalan Cipaganti, Pasteur, Pasir Kaliki, Abdurahman Saleh, Garuda, Sudirman, Jamika, Jalan Pasir Koja Canal.

From there, Ema also monitored the PJU on Jalan Pungkur, Karapitan, Martanegara, Turangga, Gatot Subroto, Ibrahim Adjie, and Jalan Supratman. Not only that, Ema also deliberately stopped by a number of parks to see the existing lighting.

Ema admits that there are still not ideal distances between PJUs. In addition, there were a number of lights that went out.

"The existence of the lights is on, there are some that are off. The installation must be proportional. Don't be hindered by thick trees. It must be coordinated with the DPKP (Housing and Settlement Area Office of the City of Bandung)," said Ema. (yan)**
