The Mayor of Bandung, Yana Mulyana, officially inaugurated Ancol Creative Center (ACC), Monday 6 March 2023.

Located on the 2nd floor of Ancol Market, Jalan Karapitan, Regol District, ACC is a creative space with a variety of creative activities for young people and culinary MSME spaces.

Yana said that ACC had changed the uncomfortable market stigma into a new space for young people in the city of Bandung to develop creativity as well as a space for increasing Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).

"Really appreciate the activation of Ancol Market, which has had an uncomfortable stigma. Today we see Ancol Market becoming a comfortable place, post-pandemic joint economic recovery. One of them is increasing MSMEs," said Yana.

According to Yana, MSMEs are one of the drivers of the community's economy and are also the group that is most resistant to recessions and pandemics. So its growth must continue to be developed, especially for post-pandemic economic recovery.

"God willing, we have followed up with the Regional Regulation on the Protection of MSME Entrepreneurs which is being discussed. This further strengthens Bandung as a city based on MSME growth," he said.

Yana hopes that the existence of ACC can increase the economic potential of the community and become a creative space that is beneficial to the community.

"Hopefully more creative activities will be carried out. This certainly has the potential to increase the economy. Of course, presenting the best creative and culinary activities," he said.

For information, the creative space at Pasar in Bandung City has previously existed at Pasar Kosambi, named Hallway.

Meanwhile, Head of Regol sub-district, Sri Kurniasih said, 20 culinary tenants have filled the ACC. Among them, Marro Coffee, cuanki, seblak, wet spring rolls, and pizza.

"MSMEs here (Ancol Creative Center) are the best SMEs in Regol District," he said.

Going forward, Sri will develop various community creative activities at ACC in collaboration with various parties.

"This was made to develop MSMEs in the Regol area. Assisted by students from Unla (Langlang Buana University) and Unpas (Pasundan University) as well as the community. In the future certain activities will be made to fill the event," he said.

While Plt. Main Director of Perumda Pasar Champion, Riki Ferlino, admitted that he would develop digitalization at ACC. This is done to realize the vision and mission of the Mayor of Bandung to provide the best service for the community.

"This is a youth icon and a new theme, following the success of Pasar Kosambi in becoming a new magnet for young people to do activities. Perumda will support digitization according to the goals of the Creative Center which is digitalization," he said.

He hopes that digitalization that is being developed can expand the reach and increase the turnover of MSMEs in ACC.

"We hope this can develop better, more and more tenants and can reach the entire community and turnover can continue to increase," he said. (rob)**
