88 MSMEs and Cheap Markets Enliven Virajati Expo 2023 Sesko AD
In commemoration of the 72nd Anniversary (HUT), the Army Staff and Command School (Sesko AD) held a Virajati Expo at the Sesko AD Dormitory, Jalan Gatot Subroto, Bandung City, 19-21 May 2023.
Bandung City Public Relations had the opportunity to visit the Virajati Expo on Friday, May 19, 2023. There were dozens of MSMEs enlivening the Virajati Expo.
There are around 88 MSMEs participating in the Virajati Expo 2023. These MSMEs include the culinary and fashion sectors.
The Commander of Sesko AD, Maj. Gen. TNI I Ketut Duara said that UMKM was one of the focuses of the Virajati Expo as a series of the 72nd Anniversary of Sesko AD.
This is also in line with the post-pandemic economic recovery efforts being carried out by the Bandung City Government.
"The main focus of this series of activities includes trying to support government programs in improving the post-pandemic economy, increasing people's purchasing power, and introducing AD Sesko to the community as the best honorable and respected educational institution," said Ketut.
Apart from bazaars, there are also bazaars that can be accessed by the public to obtain basic necessities at relatively lower prices.
"It is hoped that the benefits of this cheap market will be felt directly by all members and the extended family of Sesko AD, as well as the people who live around the city of Bandung in particular, and West Java in general," he added.
The series of events which lasted for three days also presented competitions ranging from volleyball, badminton, tennis, swimming to shooting.
There will also be a street music festival and art performances that will be present at the entertainment sessions.
Apart from that, later there will also be a quiz competition at university level in Bandung with the theme of national insight.
"Even so, the presence of MSME empowerment at the Virajati Expo can be called a differentiator. We hope that there will be synergy from all elements including the community," said Ketut.
Coinciding with the Blessing Friday momentum, Sesko AD distributed 300 aid packages to orphans and people with disabilities in the AD Sesko environment and 4 orphanages in the city of Bandung.
In closing, Ketut reminded all people, especially in the city of Bandung, to unite together in diversity and diversity.
"Whatever we do, let's do it solely to develop this country," he ordered.
